Tarasiuk Anton

Anton was born in Alchevsk city, Luhansk oblast, 1986. He spent a lot of time at the easel with local painters since he was a child. He finished the art school in his native city but entered the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine only after 15 years. Such a long pause was caused by a serious illness and the period of spiritual service. He studied painting at the academy but could not finish art studios due to his health condition and chose the path of self-development.

Warm irony is inherent to Anton Tarasiuk’s works. There are a lot of birds on his canvases: from Hitchcock ravens to a fairy phoenix, from delicate pigeons to yellow rubber ducks. The artist translates his own feelings by means of these images: “When creating self-portraits, I try to convey my condition in certain life moments… The images contain certain feelings so that a viewer could have a dialogue with the painter without his personal presence.”

Anton has had a lot of exhibitions since 2015, participates in all-Ukrainian expositions of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. His works are kept in private collections in Ukraine, Austria and the USA.
