Rylach Iryna

Rylach Iryna

Iryna was born in Kyiv in 1977. She dreamed of becoming a doctor, but her parents insisted on her studying at the Institute of International Relationships. She graduated from it, but kept her childhood dream.
She had a gift for painting since she was a child. The home library with albums and books about art played an important role in it. Francisco Goya and Hieronymus Bosch became Iryna’s favorite painters. She learned to paint with oil and pastel in 12. She had a pause in her creative work but has been painting pictures everyday for the last several years. She does not have any special education. Everything she knows today is what she learned on her own.

Iryna Rylach turns to the stylistics of the other world in her art. Even though she likes to depict animals, she says they turn out to be from some other world. Dreams are an important source of inspiration for the artist. Plots and themes that later transform in pictorial series often come to her in dreams.
